BARGAIN SHOPPING

I've blogged once before about my love of matte lipstick, and last weekend I found a great deal so I just had to share with my fellow not-so-shiny-lip-fans.

My first matte lipstick purchase was from the Revlon brand - Stormy Pink.  It has been a favorite of mine this summer, so I wanted to get more shades.  I noticed Revlon had a few (see photo below) and I really wanted Sky Pink, Nude Attitude, and Mauve It Over.  The store I was at had them priced at $5 each, which isn't bad, but when you're on a tight makeup budget, fifteen bucks for lipstick may be out of the question.

So, I scanned the aisle for other brands.  Stumbled across Wet 'n Wild...and they had matte shades!  And only $1.79 a pop!  And better yet, I was able to match up a few shades that were basically identical to Revlon's.

I bought Bare It All, Smokin' Hot Pink, and Mauve Outta Here.  Really wish I had picked up Think Pink - it's on my to-buy list now.  I've worn all three that I purchased and I really LOVE them!  Granted, they are a cheaper brand, but the quality isn't terrible.  They stay on for a good while and the colors are gorgeous!  So, just a little tip if you're searching for matte shades at a good price.  :)

I-MARK SHADOW FAVES

It's been a little while since I've done a beauty post on my blog.  Figured I'd share two of my new favorite shadow shades!

I've been selling mark for about a year and a half, but never tried the i-mark shadows until recently.  I was in need of a light colored lid shade and something shimmery for highlighting.  So I decided to try out Whisper and Sugar Sugar.  (You can order them here - Nikki's mark eBoutique)

Sugar Sugar is from the i-mark metallics line, so it has some shimmer to it.  I absolutely fell in love with it the first time I used it.  You could use this on your lid, but I prefer to use it as a highlight right under my brows.  It's gorgeous!  (The picture listed right below is very true to the actual color of Sugar Sugar.  The photo at the end of this post looks more pink than it really is.)

The second shade, Whisper, is a matte pale ivory color.  I use it to really make my eyes "pop".  It looks beautiful with the contrast of black eyeliner and mascara against it.  I also dot it in the inner corners of my eyes so they look fresh and extra bright!

If you're interested in more mark eye shadows, check out the palettes below.  Note that some colors may no longer be available.  If you're looking for one that isn't listed on my website, contact me.  Sometimes I can still get them from other reps.
